On the banks of the Etel ria

Route: Hennebont - Pont-Lorois - Saint-Cado - Etel

 

  • Departure from “La Vallée de Pratmeur”, first stop HENNEBONT, an important mediaeval city (30 mins/28 km)
  • After exploring Hennebont, head towards the famous PONT-LOROIS, built on the Ria d'Etel, it delimites the Pays d'Auray and the Pays de Lorient (25 mins/19 km)
  • Pont-Lorois to SAINT-CADO. 2 possible choices: By car (6 mins/2.1 km) or On foot (1 hour (round trip)/4.2 km)
  • Visit SAINT-CADO
  • Pont-Lorois to ETEL (Approximately 7 mins/4 km)
  1. Etel back to “La Vallée de Pratmeur” (Approximately 45 mins/35 km)

 


 


In the footsteps of the Rohan family

Route: Josselin - Lizio - Rochefort-En-Terre

 

  • Departure from “La Vallée de Pratmeur”, first stop JOSSELIN, a small town full of character (40 mins/50 km)
  • Possibility of continuing the day towards LIZIO and its historical museums (20 mins/13 km).
  • Head towards ROCHEFORT-EN-TERRE. This village invites you to travel back in time. In the middle of moors and woods, this town, located on a rocky spur, is one of the most beautiful villages in France (35 mins/31 km).
  • Return to “La Vallée de Pratmeur” (1h10/95 km).

Journey through central Brittany

Route: Vallée de Pratmeur - Guémené-Sur-Scorff - Pontivy

 

  • Depart from "La Vallée de Pratmeur" towards GUEMENE SUR SCORFF, a small town of character which has a very strong reputation for its culinary specialty: Andouille (30 mins/23 km).

  • Continue the circuit towards PONTIVY. Town marked by the imprint of the Rohan family and also known as "Napoleonville" because Napoleon built his administrative and military centre in this town of Central Brittany (30 mins/23 km).

  • Return to ”La Vallée de Pratmeur” (approximately 35 mins/34 km).

 


 


The appeal of the Gulf of the Morbihan

 

Route: Vallée de Pratmeur - Auray - Larmor-Baden - Croisière vers l'île aux Moines ou l'île d'Arz - Arradon - Vannes

 

  • Departure from “La Vallée de Pratmeur”, first stop AURAY, a town which represents the gateway to the Gulf of Morbihan. This is an attractive tourist stopover: arched bridge, small port, old half-timbered houses, mediaeval streets, etc. (40 mins/43 km).

  • Head towards LARMOR-BADEN, with its marina, it is an important oyster farming area because it is one of the oldest in Southern Brittany (19 mins/13 km).

  • Take a cruise to ILE AUX MOINES and/or ILE D’ARZ. This cruise is commentated and the shuttles depart from the Quai de Port-Blanc every 30 minutes from September to June, from 7 am to 7:30 pm and in July/August, from 7am to 10pm

  • Return from the cruise then head to ARRADON, an essential seaside town which welcomes more than 10,000 visitors each year in summer (15 mins/11 km).

  • The final leg of the journey is VANNES, a walled and fortified town which has a strong tourist reputation (13 mins/ 8 km).

  • Return to “La Vallée de Pratmeur” (approximately 50 mins/55 km).

 


 

The Rhuys peninsula

Route: Vallée de pratmeur - Auray -Le Hézo - Sarzeau - St-Gildas de Rhuys - Arzon - Vannes

 

  • Departure from “La Vallée de Pratmeur” towards AURAY (40 mins/43 km).

  • Head towards LE HEZO, famous for its cider house and ideal for a break between the discovery of Auray and the rest of the route (27 mins/33 km).

  • Explore SARZEAU, a small piece of land between two seas which becomes an unmissable site which marks the entrance to the peninsula and which offers an exceptional setting for nature lovers (approximately 11 mins/10 km).

  • ST-GILDAS-DE-RHUYS, this town is located in the heart of the Gulf of Morbihan region and is renowned for its numerous water sports options, its beautiful sandy beaches and its wild coast (8 mins/6 km).

  • Departure towards ARZON, the little jewel of the peninsula with its Port-Navalo and the Crouesty marina (12 mins/9 km).

  • Final step VANNES, walled and fortified town (36 mins/37 km).

  • Return to “La Vallée de Pratmeur” (approximately 50 mins/55 km)

  • Departure from "La Vallée de Pratmeur" towards QUIBERON, it is one of the most attractive destinations in Brittany with its wild coast, its fishing and marina ports, its coves and its fine sandy beaches but also for its maritime and natural heritage and its Thalassotherapy spaces. (1h00/63 km).

  • Head towards CARNAC, with its alignment of megaliths. This visit is unmissable for anyone coming to discover the heritage of Brittany. (26 mins/19 km).

  • Finally TRINITÉ-SUR-MER, it is a unique destination for water sports enthusiasts with all the pleasures of water sports that await you and the superb view of the Pont de Kérisper which will amaze you. (8 mins/5 km).

  • Return to “La Vallée de Pratmeur” (approximately 50 mins/ 60 km).
