1st disc golf in Brittany!
La Vallée de Pratmeur is innovating and offering a new outdoor sporting activity that can be played on our estate as a couple, with family or friends!
This popular and very fun new activity originated in the Nordic countries. A compromise between golf and frisbee, disc golf is a fun activity that is played like golf. However instead of using a ball and club, disc golf players throw a disc (frisbee) aiming for it to land in a basket materialising the “hole”.
During a 9-hole course, players must throw a disc into baskets. Different discs allow players to adapt and refine their throws, the aim being of course to complete the course in as few throws as possible.
• The disc golfer throws his disc towards the target: a metal basket serving as the “hole”.
• Consecutive throws (drive, approach and putt) are made from the landing point of the previous throw.
• Trees and terrain are natural obstacles which pose challenges for the players.
• The hole is completed when the player has successfully thrown his disc into the basket.
• He then moves on to the next hole until the course is complete.
• The score is calculated by adding the total number of throws to the number of penalty points.
• Depending on the distance and trajectory to be covered, different types of discs (frisbees) can be used.
